1. Configure Eloqua API access

  • Log in to Eloqua as an admin
  • Create or assign a user with API access permissions for contacts, segments, and custom data objects
  • Decide which authentication method to use:
    • Basic Auth: Company name, username, password, and pod-specific base URL
    • OAuth: Client ID and Client Secret from your connected app

  • For Basic Auth: note your Company Name, Username, Password, and Base URL (the pod your Eloqua instance runs on, such as p01 or p02)
  • For OAuth: note your Client ID, Client Secret, and Redirect URL

  • Select which contact fields, account fields, or custom data objects you want to use in Userled
  • Map them for segmentation and personalization
  • Keep in mind Eloqua has limits on custom fields, so choose the most valuable ones

  • Use Eloqua data in Userled to deliver 1:1 ads, microsites, and tailored web experiences
  • Track engagement in Userled and push signals back into Eloqua to improve scoring, campaigns, and workflows
